Climate Smart Rice
Rice is the primary source of food for billions of people, especially in Asia, and production is expected to continue to increase. Most rice is grown in flooded systems that produce large amounts of greenhouse gases, especially methane and nitrous oxide. But how do you entice small farmers to worry about greenhouse gases? And how do you convince them to grow rice in a different way?
