The Semb group - from basic research to translational applications
The Semb group at DanStem has two main goals:
1) to understand the connection between epithelial architecture and the commitment of pancreatic progenitor cells to mature endocrine cells and vice versa.
2) to translate this knowledge into efficient and reliable strategies for regenerative medicine in diabetes.
These objectives are applied, primarily, to their organ of choice – the pancreas.
