The Sustainable Development Goals – a necessary revolution.

Mogens Lykketoft, an economist and a politician, has been in Parliament since 1981 and was the President of the United Nations General Assembly 2015-2016 during the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Agreement. He talked about the preparation for the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals to become a reality and how the goals should provide a harmonic future for this planet.

Katherine Richardson, Professor in Biological Oceanography, Leader of Sustainability Science Centre, moderated the talk, which took place in the Ceremonial Hall on 14 March. The lecture was co-hosted by the Sustainability Science Centre and UCPH’s Working Group for Global Development.
