Johan Samsing meets prof. Wendy Freedman, for a Science Talk in Niels Bohr Office about her work on the expansion of the Universe:

Wendy Freedman is a Canadian-American astronomer, best known for her groundbreaking work on the Hubble constant. W. Freedman has been director of the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena, California, and Las Campanas, Chile, and now the John & Marion Sullivan University Professor of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Chicago.

W. Freedman has received numerous prizes, including the Gruber Cosmology Prize in 2009, and in 2016 the Dannie Heineman Prize for Astrophysics.

In this video series, Johan Samsing (NBIA) meets 7 outstanding scientists, each of which have made profound contributions to our understanding of the Universe within the areas of black holes, gravitational waves, early universe dynamics, and quantum gravity.
